Explore the peat bogs at the top of Tŕstie

The educational route, which leads from Tisovec to Tŕstie, is 6 km long. It copies the yellow marked hiking trail.

You will find five information boards on it, the content of which is focused on the Trstie mountain massif and its natural wealth.

The journey to the top takes approximately three hours with an elevation gain of 755 m.

From the square, you head across the railway bridge, after which you turn right and continue along the dirt road. You will reach an overgrown gully where there is a yellow sign that leads up a steeper climb to the top. The road offers many beautiful views and natural scenery.

Roughly in the middle of it, you will come past the well to the monument of the botanist Václav Vrané. You continue towards the cottage in Trst, where the nature trail ends. From there you can reach the top of Trstie in a relatively short time.

In the distance you can see the Low and High Tatras, as well as the Muráň plateau.
