Year on Gemer - Winter festival of customs and traditions of Gemer

For lovers of authentic folklore in Upper Gemer, the period before Advent means the time of preparations for a unique winter festival of customs and traditions. The audience is looking forward to a richer program every year, which will present the traditional customs and traditions of the people of Gemer through regional folklore groupings.

Creative craft workshops, dance and singing houses, concerts of traditional but also ethnic music, cooking and baking Gemer specialties, even attempts at Slovak records in hand-weaving "pokrovec" or pulled strudel and, of course, a spectacular gala program guarantee not only great entertainment, but also the opportunity experience the genius loci of Gemer.

This unique winter festival has been celebrated for a quarter of a century. Its venue is the center of Upper Gemer, Rožňava every year.
