Water mill in the village Kováčová

The water mill in the village of Kováčová, which once belonged to the Andrássy family from Krásná Hôrka, is today a unique technical monument. The mill building was closed and fell into disrepair for more than 50 years. Fortunately, it has preserved the original technical equipment and machines needed in the process of grinding flour, which you can see with your own eyes today.

During a tour on four floors, you will learn how flour was sometimes made and hear the story of the miller and his family, who last lived and worked here before nationalization in 1950.

The exposition includes utility objects and objects of folk art, such as pottery, ceramics, wicker and wire products, embroidery and others originating from the Gemera area.

The mill in Kováčová is also an ideal place to relax, where you can sit and refresh yourself, all in a unique environment.
