The ruins of Muráň Castle were once a majestic royal guard castle. Due to its varied history, it is one of the most famous castles in Gemer. Beautiful surrounding nature, has a diverse fauna and flora. The views that come from the castle and from the whole road are breathtaking.

Dievčenská skala (660 m above sea level) and Brzotínska skala (600 m above sea level) offer enchanting views of the High Tatras, Volovské vrchy, the town of Rožňava, Krásna Hôrka Castle or the surrounding villages.

The beautiful environment of the Cerová Highlands will take you through its educational trail to its most valuable area, right up to the top of Pohanský Castle.

The circuit with an elevation of 270 m and a length of 4.7 km leads through the wild nature around the Zbojská saddle. The region where the legendary Tisov robber Jakub Surovec and his retinue once robbed is a great place to relax and get to know each other.

Pipitka Hill (1224 m above sea level) rises on the main ridge of Volovské vrchy (Pipitka sub-section). It stretches between Úhornianske sedlo and the town of Medzev. The peak offers you a beautiful circular view of, for example, Kráľova hoľa, Plešivecká and Silická planina, High Tatras and others.

Gombasecká Cave stands out especially for its unique thin sinter straws, which reach a length of up to 3 m and are preserved to such an extent as in any other cave in Slovakia.

We could also call Cerová vrchovina the land of extinct volcanoes. There are 9 marked hiking trails, 4 educational trails and 3 educational sites that pass through the most attractive parts of the territory.

The Krásnohorská Cave will offer you a unique adventurous experience. With caving gear you will go through a cave with wooden footbridges, ladders, ropes to the largest stalagmite you have ever seen.

The most famous cave of the Slovak Karst together with the Hungarian Baradla Cave form a unique 25 km long cave complex on the territory of two states, Slovakia and Hungary.

There are only four to public accessible aragonite caves in the world - one in Mexico, the other in Argentina, third in Czech republic and the most beautiful one of them, the Ochtiná Aragonite Cave in Slovakia. Visit this world unique at Region Gemer!

A picturesque village located at the foot of Muránská planina, with an optimal location for tourists, athletes, but also those who are looking for relaxation for body and soul in the embrace of beautiful nature.

The uniqueness of the observatory is the astropark, where you can find models of asteroids, a sundial, an interactive globe, a large solar oven, a solar house with a car track, a carillon, a small rocket with an astronaut and much more. Both children and adults will enjoy themselves. Observations of the starry sky through a telescope take place every Friday evening in clear weather.

Compared to the more famous Slavošovce neighbor, the Koprášsky tunnel is much shorter, its length is less than 250 m. However, it is possible to go through it without artificial lighting.

The observation tower at an altitude of 851 m offers wonderful views of Vepor mountains, the Muránska plateau and the Tatras. It is also available for cyclists with mountain bikes.
